Wat ga je doen?
As a Plumber in shipyards, you will be responsible for installing and assembling piping systems on ships and ship sections. You work based on technical drawings and follow strict safety and quality standards.
Your main tasks include:
- Installing, assembling, and maintaining piping systems on ships
- Installing sanitary, water supply, and drainage systems
- Reading and working from technical drawings and isometric plans
- Measuring, cutting, bending, and fitting pipes (steel, copper, PVC)
- Performing pressure tests and checking systems for leaks
- Working according to shipyard safety and quality regulations
Wat kun je van ons verwachten?
Employment conditions:
- Gross hourly wage between €15.00 – €19.00, depending on experience.
- This results in a net salary between €500 – €650 per week, based on a 40-hour working week
- Possibility to work overtime
- Weekly salary payments
- Clear employment contract in your own language, with the intention of long-term cooperation

- 25 vacation days per year (20 paid days off + 5 vacation days paid weekly together with your salary)
- 8% holiday allowance, paid once per year in May

Wat verwachten wij van jou?
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a plumber, preferably in shipyards or industrial projects
- Experience working in the Netherlands is strongly preferred
- Driving licence cat. B
- Communicative English (B1/B2 level)
- Valid VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one (can be arranged by Maintec)
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Motivated, reliable, and able to work independently and in a team
